Redwood Apartments Rezoning

ATTENTION! REZONING/VARIANCE FOR MULTI-FAMILY APARTMENTS
Redwood Acquisitions is seeking rezoning/variance approval of multi-family apartments on property immediately north and abutting against the Arbor Springs neighborhood.

Redwood is requesting:

  1. Rezoning from Ag (agriculture) to M2, multi-unit, single story rental complex. Click link for schematic and layout of project:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TGksISDf454GXrkNYoc6vve6TBp7rSUP/view?usp=sharing
  2. Variance in setback from 30 feet to 20 feet structure to street.
  3. Variance to increase number of units per lot from 4 to 26.
  4. Variance to have less than 50% brick (vinyl siding).

This proposal is NOT in the best interest of Arbor Springs and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Potential impacts include:

  1. Noise, traffic, and congestion that would be created and detrimental to the peaceful enjoyment of our homes.
  2. Negative impact of the value of your home.
  3. Increased stress on our Brownsburg school system.
  4. Reduce further the already poor water pressure provided to Arbor Springs.
  5. Unsafe congestion created by narrow streets, sidewalks only on one side, and egress to US136.
  6. Increased safety concerns of children due to the proposed narrow setbacks and streets in the proposed complex.
  7. Detrimental effects to the area aesthetics and the environment.
  8. Liability issues to Arbor Springs regarding its swimming pool and playground area since the proposed Redwood project contains neither amenity.
